PAUSE FOR PERSPECTIVE RETREATS
In the early 90s CIF offered day retreats for the business community which provided the opportunity to spend part of a day in a guided retreat where one could relax, reflect and pray. The goal was to literally “pause for perspective” in one’s life – away from a busy world – for spiritual growth through quiet time, prayer and meditation.
This tradition continues today with a year-round retreat program that encompasses a variety of spiritual Christian traditions. Upcoming retreats will draw Ignatian spirituality, originating from the Jesuits over 500 years ago, from the Byzantine Catholic tradition, and from the newer models seen in SoulStream and Imago Dei.
We are excited about this adventure and are determined to provide places and people who can best bring us into a space that enables us to quickly find refreshment and restoration – time out. We recognize a deep yearning for stillness and retreat from everyday activities. Our souls ache to slow down. As City in Focus continues its mission to “care for the soul of the city”, we intend to continue offer a series of facilitated retreats for up to 15 participants.
See our upcoming events page for more information about current retreats.
